A captive agent works for one company and sells that company's products. If their rate goes up at renewal, your options are to accept it or start over somewhere else.
We represent many carriers instead. One conversation gets your information in front of a whole market, and when a carrier raises rates or tightens its appetite, we can move you rather than ask you to absorb it. Carriers also change which risks they want from year to year, so the company that was the right answer last renewal often is not the right answer this one.
